Westminster drops rough sleeping byelaw

Following sustained campaigning from the Simon Community and a wide range of other organisatons, Westminster Council has decided to drop its proposed bye law making rough sleeping a criminal offense in parts of the borough.  There remains a threat to the operation of our outreach work in the Borough and we are committed to finding a way to keep these running in the best way possible.  However, this is a very positive step.  In the meantime we would like to say an enormous thank you to all those who campaigned and 'lay down' for themselves over the last few months!
